This is the unofficial site for Arlington National Cemetery.  It is run by Michael Patterson, a retired U.S. Army Colonel.  There are many
photos and more information on the bugle exhibit that was at the ANC Visitors' Center from May 1999 to September 2002.

A forum for the discussion of the military bugle, its worldwide history from ca.1770 to the present day, its construction, music, lore, use,
iconography and place in society.  A major emphasis is placed on the bugle in American Civil War/Indian Wars.  There are approximately 90
members on the list contributing lively discussion at times.
Sponsored by The National Association for Civil War Brass Music, Inc., and held at Pamplin Historical Park near Petersburg, VA, the National
Civil War Field Music School offers re-enactor field musicians the opportunity to experience two days in the life of a Field Musician in
training, based on the Civil War-era School of Practice at Governors Island, NY.  Participants in the National Civil War Field Music School will
gain valuable skills and improve their musicianship and their overall impression.  During the course of the weekend fifers, drummers, and
buglers will receive several hours of intensive musical instruction in small group settings from some of the best teachers in the country in
the area of Civil War field music.  The schedule also includes military drill and training relevant to the use of Field Musicians in camp and
battle by experienced military re-enactors and living historians.
